(36-48" tall) 'Jowey Frambo' Ball Dahlia brightens summer with glowing pink globes of color and texture. Blooming from mid-summer until frost, the lovely flowers up to 4 inches across have lush green foliage as the perfect complement to the blossoms. Plant them in a perennial bed, container, or any spot that needs fresh color. A perfect companion to Black Eyed Susan, and Salvia, or colorful wildflowers like Sunflowers, all they need is well-drained average soil in a sunny location. After planting in the spring wait to water until the sprouts appear, then provide consistent moisture. 'Jowey Frambo' provides plenty of flowers for cutting too – the more you cut, the more the plant will flower. Cut them when the blooms are 3/4 open and place them in hot water after cutting for the longest vase life. This easy-to-grow Dahlia is perennial in zones 8-10. In cooler zones, they may be dug and stored in a cool, dark place after the first frost, then re-planted the following spring. The name 'Jowey' is a hybrid of the first and last name of the European breeder who has developed many of the best Ball Dahlias, Jozef Weyts.
