(41" tall x 12-24" wide) 'Better Than Butter' Bearded Iris is noted for its
fragrance and beauty. Snow white standards trimmed in yellow highlight the
lemon-yellow petals below. Plant it where you can enjoy the fragrance, along a
path, near an entrance or deck, or in a perennial bed where its height stands
out. It harmonizes nicely with Peonies, Salvia, Delphinium, and other Bearded
Irises. Plant in a sunny location in enriched garden soil with good drainage slightly
above soil level. Water as needed to keep the soil moist as the plant gets
established. Once established this is a drought-tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant
perennial that will naturalize over the years with ever-increasing flowers.
