(16-20" tall x 12-18” wide) With 3- to 5-inch blooms in a deep, rich color, ‘Captain Reno®’ Calla Lily is a standout in the summer garden. Part of the Captain Series of Calla Lilies, Captain Reno® is bred for exceptional color and long-lasting cut flowers. Callas are perfect for showy container plantings. Large, speckled leaves stand upright, arching gracefully outward from a central clump. Plants perform best in moist, well-drained soils, and tolerate wet soils. Provide plenty of sun, with partial shade in hotter southern climes. Plants are winter hardy in zones 8-10. Where they are grown as perennials, Callas will bloom earlier in the season, typically late spring to early summer. In colder climates, plant them as annuals, or plant them in containers to make it easy to bring plants indoors over winter. Plant Callas along ponds, water features, and stream margins, in patio containers, or tuck within mixed beds and borders. Resistant to deer and rabbit browsing.
