This Martagon Lily Mix features striking, delicate flowers in a mix of warm colors, ranging from yellow to orange, red, and/or pink. Each bag will feature a unique mix of bulbs. This hardy Lily is happy in part-shade locations, making it a great addition to perennial and woodland borders. Martagon Lilies will naturalize over the years, with more blooms every season. These floriferous plants will be bursting with blooms from early to mid summer, providing welcome nectar for bees and butterflies. (Lilium martagon)
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low
temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will
survive the winter temperatures in your area.
If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack
of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
Growing Martagon Lilies: The recurved, downward-facing petals create a unique display of graceful blooms in early to mid-summer. This Lily attracts butterflies in spades, and looks beautiful in cut flower arrangements. Martagon Lilies originate in Europe, and are the ancestor of many multi-colored hybrids available today. They are a true spectacle in your garden, with strong stems supporting up to 50 small flowers per stalk! Minimal whorled foliage balances the delicate blooms. As the plant matures, it will form a large mound.
