(4-24" tall) Let the American Dreams Bulb Collection
take the guess-work out of spring bulb design. A selection of six varieties
open in sequence for bountiful blooms all season long. The show begins when
Snowdrops open very early in spring, sometimes before the last snows have
melted away. These charming heirlooms are followed by Dark Blue Species Iris, a
low-growing variety with rich blue oversized blooms. In mid-spring, the garden
is dressed in red, white, and blue when 'Parade' Darwin Tulip, 'Mount Hood'
Trumpet Daffodil, and 'Blue Jacket' Hyacinth arrive on the scene. These blooms
bring a variety of form and texture to the garden, from large ivory ruffles of
'Mount Hood' to sleek and stylish tulips. Grape Hyacinths join the festivities,
carpeting the ground with tufts of cheery bell-shaped blooms until the last
days of spring. Plants in this collection are easy to grow in hardiness zones 3
through 8, where they will naturalize in gardens receiving full to partial sun.
A well-drained soil encourages healthy bulbs.
