The flowers in the Magic Spider Lily Bulb Collection emerge in August to send up tropical-looking red, yellow, and pink blooms. These delightful, fragrant flowers have long stamens and elegantly curved petals that give blooms their spider-like appearance and common name. USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

  • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
  • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).

Plant Information

(12-26" tall) The Magic Spider Lily Bulb Collection combines late-summer favorites that are sure to delight. The red and yellow species emerge in August, followed quickly by Pink Spider Lily, adding fresh color to the landscape. Spider Lilies naturalize well, forming small colonies over time which look stunning as masses of blooms emerge all at once. Spider Lilies are hardy in zones 5 through 9. They can be grown in colder regions but need to be dug for winter storage. Protect bulbs from winter's chill with a deep layer of dry mulch. Plant Spider Lilies in rich, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Plants flower the best in locations with partial shade.

Our Magic Spider Lily Bulb Collection is roughly 3' x 3' if planted together and contains 3 plants:

1. Red Spider Lily - 1 Bulb

2. Yellow Spider Lily - 1 Bulb

3. Pink Surprise Lily (Lycoris) - 1 Bulb

*Not all plants will be in bloom at the same time, as depicted on the illustration. Plants are subject to change due to availability. If we make substitutions, we feature plants with similar attributes suitable to the garden/collection design.
