Warm Season Grasses won’t scorch in the heat of summer
Warm season grasses, as their name suggests, thrive in areas with hot summer temperatures, such as the Deep South, Texas and the southwest. Warm season grasses grow most vigorously in the warmest months of the year, in temperatures of 75-90 degrees. These grasses go dormant in the cooler weather of late fall and will green up again as temperatures warm in spring.
