Lobelia

Tall, saturated color for moist areas in sun or shade

Cardinal flower, also known as Lobelia, are the hybrids of the wild lobelia that most botanists call "America's most vivid wildflower." It lights up moist spots during mid summer, in both sun and shade, and is often visited by hungry butterflies and hummingbirds. The tall spires of color add great interest to the garden when most big blooms have finished for the season, and are lovely in a vase. Deer resistant.
