Hens and Chicks

Colorful and unique succulents are incredibly easy to grow

Succulents like hens and chicks are exploding in popularity. They form perfect little rosettes of thick, pointed leaves and the parent plants ("hens") spread by forming offsets ("chicks") to create sprawling colonies. Hens and chicks are adaptable anywhere in full sun with very well-drained soil, but also make ideal container plants, where their striking symmetry can be enjoyed up close.
