What is this To help gardeners understand which plants will grow well for them, the entire USA has been segmented into ‘Plant Hardiness Zones’.

Tough, full-foliage plants for shady spots will keep on giving

Hostas come in various designs, heights and sizes, but all form the neat, circular clump they're famous for. They all flower, too, but are really grown for their beautiful perennial plant foliage, which ranges from light green to deep bluish-green, (aka "blue"). If you give them some shade and plenty of rich soil and water, they'll be a dependable, rich groundcover perennial. However, these forgiving plants will tolerate a variety of soils; taking a little extra time to mature and get big is their only trade off. Once they're established, hostas are easy to divide, making them a great investment in your garden's future.
