Plant Information

18-24" tall x 18-24" wide. Lenten Rose Wedding Party™ Mix enchants us with a beautiful blend of white, rose, yellow, purple and almost black flowers with sumptuous double blooms. Plant multiple plants to achieve the color mix shown, and you’ll be delighted to celebrate spring with Hellebore. Among the first flowers of spring, they are must-haves for your woodland garden. The dark green foliage adds year around interest in a moist shade-to-part shade spot under trees, with ferns, Bleeding Heart, and early spring bulbs like Muscari, Crocus, and Snowdrop. Hellebore likes compost-enriched soil and yearly additions of compost and natural fertilizer. Great cut flowers, deer, and rabbits stay away.

Q & A

Plant With These:

USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

  • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
  • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
