Miscanthus, or Maiden Grass, is a first-choice specimen plant with arching foliage and very ornate flowering plumes. Available in a range of colors and heights, Miscanthus comes into its own in the later half of the season, often offering brilliant fall color that turns silver as cool temperatures arrive. A stand out grass that tolerates a variety of conditions, it can be planted in borders, used to create privacy screens, or planted individually as a spectacular focal point.
