‘Ruby Carpet’ Wild Blueberry is a low-growing native perennial and beautifully textural groundcover. Growing only 6 inches tall, it has deep olive-green foliage that turns ruby red in fall. Wild These blueberry shrub wills produce flowers, followed by delicious tiny blue-black berries. They provide habitat for pollinators and wildlife, and maybe pancake ingredients for you! Bred from low-bush blueberries from Maine, ‘Ruby Carpet’ is very productive with tasty berries. (Vaccinium angustifolium ‘Ruby Carpet’)

Flowering in early summer, hummingbirds and bumble bees help pollinate the flowers. ‘Ruby Carpet’ likes well-drained sand or loam, with acidic soil (pH 4-5). For best results with fruit, it is recommended to test your soil and amend it before planting. This low-growing and versatile shrub is a great investment that will pay off in many ways. ‘Ruby Carpet’ has high vigor and good disease resistance as well.
