12-18” tall x 12-18” wide. Sedge ‘Blue Zinger’ is at home in woodland gardens, cottage-style plantings, and water gardens. The soft color and texture complement broad-leaved perennials and strappy foliage like that of iris. Use as an accent in mixed borders or as a platform for upright shrubs. ‘Blue Zinger’ looks lovely beneath the canopy of open, low-growing trees. Adaptable to a variety of soils, sedges prefer even moisture, but are drought tolerant once established. Plant in wet areas where other plants fail. ‘Blue Zinger’ thrives in partial shade and requires sun protection in hot dry climates. Plants spreads slowly through rhizomes to form a dense mat. Cut back foliage in early spring before new growth appears to keep sedge looking tidy. Clumps can be divided every 2 to 3 years. Deer resistant.
