Low-maintenance groundcover to use under trees or in place of lawn
Widely used as a groundcover, evergreen vinca forms low-growing mounds with trailing stems that spread rapidly to fill in an area. Adaptable to a wide range of conditions, vinca is one of the few groundcovers that will thrive in both full sun and shade. Sometimes called periwinkle or creeping myrtle, pretty blue, phlox-like flowers appear in spring. Use this fast-grower under trees or on slopes to stabilize soil and prevent erosion.
