Description

Plant ‘Elodie’ Double Asiatic Lily in your garden for a sweet summer show and beautiful bouquets. A charming twist on a traditional favorite, Double Asiatic Lilies provide beauty and abundance with a second set of petals; they do not have the pollen-heavy anthers of single Lilies, meaning longer vase life and less mess for cut flower arrangements. Asiatic Lilies are incredibly floriferous, with broad blooms atop upright stems with fine foliage. They are quite hardy once established and will multiply, providing years of enjoyment. Plant Asiatic Lily bulbs in average, well-drained soils – too much moisture can cause rot. They’ll perform best in full sun, and may benefit from afternoon shade to protect them from the most intense heat of the day; they prefer roots to be cool and shaded by other plants. Staking is rarely needed, thanks to their upright habit. The bright blooms attract pollinators and make excellent cut flowers. As flowers fade, remove them to avoid the formation of seedpods. Deer-resistant and rabbit resistant, they can be toxic to cats if ingested.
