Description
(16-28" tall x 12-24” wide) ‘Captain Safari®’ Calla Lily packs plenty of punch in an easy-to-grow bulb. The large 3- to 5-inch blooms are chalice shaped and stand on long stems. Part of the Captain Series of Calla Lilies, Captain Reno® is bred for exceptional color and long-lasting cut flowers. Long, lance-shaped leaf blades stand upright in an elegant vase shape. Callas are easy to grow in full to partial sun. Plants tolerate wet soils, making them perfect for planting along streambeds, ponds, and water features They also look at home in cottage or tropical-inspired gardens. Plants are winter hardy in warmer climates, from zones 8-10, where they often bloom earlier in the season. In colder climates, plant them as annuals, or plant them in containers to make it easy to bring plants indoors over winter. Wherever you plant them, Callas are resistant to deer and rabbit browsing.
