Description
(12-18” tall x 12-18” wide) Purple Sensation Calla Lily will add high drama to your moist beds, borders and containers! Strong foliage emerges in late spring, and in early summer, rich purple half cones unfurl surrounding a bright yellow spadix. Calla Lilies love rich soil, and particularly appreciate a spot in the margins of a pond or water feature where they can display that lush, tropical look without getting burned by afternoon sun. After flowering, remove the faded blooms to continue to enjoy the strong foliage. If you live in a hot climate or if moisture is lacking, Purple Sensation Calla Lily will begin to die back after flowering and go dormant in preparation for another season of splendor. Lift the rhizomes if you live in zones 3-8 or bring your container into a frost-free garage or basement where Purple Sensation Calla Lily can easily overwinter inside.
