Purple Shamrock
Description
Purple Shamrock, also known as False Shamrock or Love Plant, is a particularly interesting and beautiful member of the worldwide Oxalis family, which includes wood sorrels and clover-leaved plants of all sizes and descriptions. Purple Shamrock has lovely variegated leaves that range from deep green to purple, creating unique and dramatic contrast in borders or containers. Delicate, light pink flowers appear in early summer and bloom until frost.
Try these beautiful bulbs in a sunny spot in your garden or in a container. They are extremely easy to grow; however, bulbs are tender and not winter hardy. They can be grown as an annual or a houseplant. If you live in a colder zone and want them to 'come back' in the garden, lift the tubers in Fall and store in a cool, dry place to be replanted in Spring.
