Single Freesia Mix
Description
Freesias are famous for their perfumey scent and specialized blooms that only form and open on one side of the plant stem, delivering an unusual, delicate look. A favorite of florists, Freesia are available in bright, happy colors, as well as pure white. They hold up wonderfully in a vase. Freesia bulbs can also be forced indoors by planting pre-chilled bulbs in soil-filled pots in late winter, for flowers that will arrive come spring.
Plant CareFreesias should be grown in full sun and planted in moist but well-drained soil. They need lots of warmth and humidity, so gardeners in colder areas will want to site them along building foundations or other known 'warm spots' for an added layer of protection. Freesias do best when occasionally divided to prevent overcrowding, about every 3 years.
