How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
18-20” tall x 3-6” wide. The stylish blooms of Slawa Triumph Tulip (Tulipa ‘Slawa’) are long and slender, narrowing to a pointed tip. Add a stunning color scheme to this shapely blossom and you have one incredible display. ‘Slawa’ looks amazing planted in large sweeps that allow their distinctive hues and graceful form to shine. Also excellent in containers and cut-flower arrangements. Triumph tulips are known for their strong stems and ease of forcing. ‘Slawa’ is easy to grow in full sun and well-drained soils. Water regularly during the growing season if rain is sparse. Plants thrive when summer soils are on the dry side as tulips bulbs can rot under wet conditions. Allow tulip foliage to mature and die back naturally, which feeds the next season’s blooms.

"Slawa is one of my favorites along with Gavota. I have grown this variety in the past, obtaining the bulbs from other vendors. This year, the blooms are smaller than any that I've grown before. I'm noticing that with almost all the tulip varieties I have blooming in 2024. I am wondering if this is due to the tough year they had in the Netherlands in 2023. This is a beautiful, dramatic tulip, with dark purple-maroon petals edged in apricot. When fully open the flowers have a similar shape to lily-flowered tulips."
"The Slawa Triumph Tulips were the first of my tulips to bloom this spring and they're still going strong. They are quite hardy- surviving a few freezes and thunderstorms and still looking amazing. I planted them beside my front porch and the unique colors make me smile every time I see them."
"These flowers are gorgeous! I can't wait to order more."
"I ordered tulips in 2020 and they were shipped at planting time that fall. These came in the box, instead of a different purple (double) tulip I ordered, with no explanation. At first I was bummed because it wasn't really what I had in mind for the patch I was planting, but they looked pretty enough and there were twice as many bulbs as what I'd ordered, so I planted them anyway. They all came up the first year and really are a unique-looking flower! Lasted a while when cut, as well. Now, in year 2, they multiplied like crazy. I had at least triple the blooms! I'm happy, but I'm also hoping they don't squash out the other tulip bulbs planted in the same patch."
"Sweet colorful compliment to the other tulips planted. I like the darker hue between the pastels"
