Description
This hard-to-find native lily is a show-stopper in shaded wildflower gardens. It grows from the northeast all the way south into Georgia and Alabama, and favors swamps, wet meadows and wet woods. So that tells you to plant yours where they wont be flooded, but will have plenty of moisture.
This fabulous lily, when happy, can bloom with as many as 40 flowers on a single plant.
The name, Turks Cap refers to the recurved petals, which someone saw as similar to a turban.
