How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
These are the ones called 'Snow Crocus' for obvious reasons. They bloom well before the Dutch Crocus, so for a long season of crocus bloom, plant them both. They work almost exactly the same. Unlike the Dutch crocus group of hybrids, these are true 'wild bulbs'--species crocus that grow in the wild in Greece and other areas. Add these jewel-toned beauties to your wildflower collection, and you'll enjoy them for years.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"Grew well but no blooms this first year. Hoping they do better next spring."
"I live in Western WA zone 8b/9a. These crocuses popped up in mid March and looked fantastic!"
"I planted 25 and only got 6 to bloom. The squirrels and chipmunks dug them up a lot. The ones that did bloom were beautiful but they they didn't last very long. They opened at the same time as the Yellow Mammoth Dutch Crocus but only lasted a few days while the yellow ones lasted a couple weeks. We've had strange weather - it was in the 80s and then got quite cold with heavy rains and then below freezing with snow so maybe they didn't like the extremes. But the yellow ones did survive all that so I guess I'd but more Yellow Mammoth Dutch Crocus over these. Also, I planted Dark Blue Specie Iris with these and those fared much better, if you're into purple I'd choose those instead."
"I GOT THESE AS A BONUS WITHE SOME OTHER STUFF. I AM WHEEL CHAIR BOUND, 81 YEARS OLD AND I HAD MY CAREGIVER PLANT THE BULBS OUTSIDE MY WINDOW SO I COULD WATCH THEM ; BUT NOTHING EVER CAME UP. I GUESS THEY WERE PLANTED TOO LATE OR TOO MUCH OREGON RAIN, MAYBE THE WRONG ZONE. THE LAVENDER PLUGS ALL CAME UP. MY SWEETGRASS PLUGS TOOK A WHILE TO ESTABLISH IN SPITE OF A BLACKTAILED DEER. 55 YEARS I WAS A CERTIFIED ORGANIC MASTER GARDENER IN VERMONT, WORKING THROUGH THE UVM EXTESION SERVICE AND RODALES GARDENWAY OH WELL HO HUM THINGS CHANGE"
"I have surrounded a tree with them. I would buy them again."
"In the fall/winter of 2021, I planted bulbs in containers for the first time. These crocus were the first to show greenery, even after a thwarted squirrel attack. Each flower lasted several days and they offered a few weeks of flowers as they emerged."
"A bag of 25. I put some in different spots around my property. Planted them in Late Summer / Early Fall. I first saw them peeping out in the Middle of February. Now in Early March, they are mostly out."
"This little crocus is indeed little. But it was a wonderful surprise! The flowers popped open early and were a great break from snowy winter. After the flowers fade you are left with a pretty grassy patch. I intend to get more."
"Planted the bulbs last fall as instructed. Other bulbs in the garden started sprouting before these. I was nervous that they weren't going to grow but I read online that crocuses take longer than usual to sprout when newly planted. Then one day the weather got into the 70's and BAM! They all popped up and flowered. A very deep purple almost violet/blue. I'm very pleased."
"This was first year. I planted in late fall. This spring only half came up. Maybe next year the rest of them will bloom."
