Description

40-50” tall and wide. Seed germinates quickly following rain or irrigation. Slow winter growth is followed by a late winter and early spring flush yielding ample biomass. Plants can be mowed repeatedly to promote additional growth. Mow in early summer and incorporate cuttings into soil or leave residues on surface as a mulch to suppress weeds and prevent erosion. Adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions, but not tolerant of droughty soils or poorly-drained wet soils. Not suitable for shady sites. Arrowleaf clover is an excellent forage in wildlife habitats for deer and turkey. Flowers can be dried for decorative use.
