Overview
The tall, feathery plumes of 'Vision In Red' Astilbe rise like regal spires above handsome bronze-green foliage. Rosey red flower buds darken to a plum or fuschia color as they open and mature to create a dramatic midsummer display. A mound of fern-like foliage remains attractive all season, adding texture to shade gardens and borders. This easy-to-grow cultivar is more tolerant of heat and drought than other Astibles, and is also resistant to deer, rabbits, and most pests. (Astilbe chinensis)
