Description

18-24" tall x 9-12" wide. The soft pink hues of Blushing Bride Phlox (Phlox x drummondii) blend with a variety of color palettes, bringing elegance to any garden border. Butterflies and hummingbirds delight in the sweet nectar. Plant Blushing Bride Phlox where the fragrance and winged visitors can be enjoyed, such as along walkways and among patio plantings. Blushing Bride’s pink tinted white petals with a raspberry center makes it a lovely addition to mixed containers. Plants perform best in rich, well-drained soils with even moisture, but tolerate some drought. Deadhead spent flowers to extend bloom. An annual Phlox, but plants can reseed under ideal conditions, so allow some spent blooms to remain if self-sowing is desired. This graceful phlox stands atop long stems for cutting. Harvest stems in the morning when one-third to one-half of the blooms have opened. Handle these delicate beauties with care.
