Description
(22-24" tall x 36-48" wide) Set up a bench in front of 'Wisteria Lane' Butterfly Bush, grab a drink, and watch the pollinators descend! This gorgeous dwarf shrub takes the traditional panicle blossoms of Butterfly Bush (Buddleia) and quite literally turns them on their heads – giving it the appearance of a trained wisteria in the landscape. Visitors will take a double look and immediately want to know where you bought it! Unlike Wisteria, or many Butterfly Bushes, Buddleia davidii 'Wisteria Lane' PPAF won't get too big to handle, and can be used in beds or borders as a mid-sized accent. Gray-green foliage is covered in beautiful clusters of lilac-colored flowers in mid to late summer, and with regular deadheading it will continue to bloom through to autumn. 'Wisteria Lane' does not require rich soil, and can be planted in average soils in a sunny location for best flowering. Water regularly during the first year and 'Wisteria Lane' will be able to withstand periods of drought in subsequent years. It's sure to become a favorite for years to come!
