Champagne Elegance Reblooming Bearded Iris
Description
24-36" tall x 18" wide. Champagne Elegance Reblooming Bearded Iris (Iris germanica) lights up the mid-spring and late summer garden with pure white standards (upright petals) that almost seem to hover over the apricot-pink blushed falls (downwards petals). With a golden throat and matching beards, this Iris is a quiet beauty. It can hold its own planted as a focal point or it will blend gently with other bulbs and perennials. Blooming both in mid-spring and again in late summer, at a height of 33-35" tall, Champagne Elegance wafts a sweet orange-blossom fragrance through the garden. With 7-10 flower buds per stalk, there are plenty of flowers for cutting too. Plant rhizomes (bulbs) even or just above the surface of the ground, in full sun to part shade (with at least 6 hours of sun) in average well-draining soil. Rebloomers like some moisture in between bloom times so keep it hydrated, but no wet feet! Feed with bone meal in the fall and organic bulb food in spring and after the first bloom for optimal blossoms. Deer and rabbit resistant, this easy care Bearded Iris will provide lovely flowers throughout the season.
