Description

4-6" tall x 12-18" wide. 'Emerald Blue' Creeping Phlox dazzles with masses of blooms above a dense mat of evergreen foliage. A tough groundcover that takes hold in the smallest nooks and crannies throughout the landscape, try tucking into stone walls and along flagstone paths. This dependable perennial is also at home at the front of mixed beds and borders, or draping over ledges, and is a staple of the rock garden. Pair with bulbs or spring-flowering shrubs. Creeping Phlox is a vigorous spreader, artfully spreading beneath trees, rolling down gentle slopes, stabilizing steep banks, and covering hard to manage areas. Cold hardy and heat tolerant, ‘Emerald Blue’ thrives in any well-drained soil and bright sun. Cut stems back gently after  flowering to encourage dense vegetative growth.
