Description
38-40" tall x 18" wide. Unusual, to say the least, ‘Downtown Brown’ is a knockout! Buff yellow standards (upright petals) make way for almost impossible rosy-brown falls (downward petals). The show continues a few days later as the falls change to golden yellow. Blooming in mid-season, this tall and stately Bearded Iris combines beautifully with other Iris, Daylilies, Allium, and other perennials. In the back of a border or as a focal point, it’s a hardy, easy-care garden favorite. Plant in average, well-drained soil in full sun. A dose of bone meal in the fall and some bulb food in the spring are all you need to enjoy years of low-care color.
