Description
Goji Berries are produced on large shrubs with long, flexible canes. Rich purple blooms in late spring give way to small, bright-red fruits. As the season goes on, the berries sweeten and will produce fruit all the way until frost.
How to Grow:This shrub thrives in full sun and tolerates any well-draining soil. Although pruning is not necessary for fruit to emerge, we recommend lightly pruning horizontal branches to encourage new growth. The Goji Berries begin to ripen in early summer and we recommend hand-picking when they are a bright-red color and sweet to the taste. They are easy to plucked off and can be harvested by hand. We recommend fertilizing with an organic mixture in early spring, just as new growth begins.
