Heavily textured leaves add visual interest, making it easy to see why ‘Brother Stefan’ won the ‘2017 Hosta of the Year’ award from the American Hosta Growers. Plant in a semi-shade to shady spot in compost-enriched garden soil, where it can spread to create a bold presence. In spring a 24" scape of white flowers appears, loved by hummingbirds. Cut them back after flowering. Drought tolerant once established, but at their best with medium watering.
