Description
This new Shasta Daisy flaunts two full rows of broad snow white petals and a center that brings new interest to the group. Its butter yellow at the very center, surrounded with fluffy white, then the wide white petals. This ones a great example of how a hybridizer can take a classic, much-loved flower and make it even more beautiful. This one will turn all heads. And imagine the cutflower arrangements!
The Shasta Daisies are great plants, hybridized from a European wildflower. They're not invasive like our common daisy, and usually have larger flowers. Whats more, the flowers are classic white, and look great both in more formal perennial displays and in informal wildflower gardens.
In recent years, the hybridizers have worked on this species, creating various flower forms from doubles to all sorts of variations on the original.
