How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
About the Yarrows. The Achillea tribe are plants of dry, gritty areas, and do not like soil that is too moist or rich. Give yours plenty of drainage.
The fore-runners of these beautiful hybrids have one of the richest histories in the plant world. Long thought of as a magical plant, yarrows history goes back to Roman times, when it was thought useful in healing warrior wounds. The name Achillea is from Achilles, and the fateful wound of his heel. But it doesn't stop there. Witchcraft and all sorts of magical potions are associated with this plant.
The basic wildflower, Achillea millefolium, has a grayish-white bloom with deep green ferny foliage.

"I am quite disappointed with the plants I received. First, they are quite small. The product description says they come in a 3" pot, but the pots I received are only 2". they also were not packaged well enough to keep them from tipping and shifting during shipping, so about half of them were smashed and/or damaged. I don't think USPS is the best shipping option for live plants, as I followed the tracking and the box sat at the local PO for an extra day. Some of the plants are now wilted and have brown or yellow leaves. I paid over $60 for 8 plants and do not feel it was worth the price."
"I got this last year and it looked great! Trimmed it back in the fall/winter and now it is back and it is so lush and has gotten so big! It looks great next to my lavender. I love that it is low maintenance and can stand a little drought in the hot months."
"these are harty, fast blooming, and lovely"
"When the plants arrive they were small. I could not believe how fast they started growing. They spread and that was what I wanted. I just love them. I plan to order more next year."
"Well, I only got pink blooms. Maybe I was confused by the description, but I thought there were going to be different colors on the same plant or several different colored plants in one pot. With that said, the pink blooms made an attractive addition to my rock garden. I had never grown Yarrow before and I like how each bloom gradually fades to white, giving the grouping an ombre effect. Also it bloomed all summer long which is always a plus. I like the delicate fern-like foliage as well, which as of January 21 is still in a nice green clump."
