Snowdrops

This is my first attempt at growing bulbs. We planted in late fall and today, February 9th, I'm already seeing my first growth pop out of the snow (we're zone 6). So excited that they worked and can't wait to see what happens over the next few weeks.

These are smaller than I thought they would be only a couple inches tall and didn't fill any flower gaps scilla was blooming already when these came up, they flowered at the same time as the crocus

I have been looking for Snowdrop bulbs for a long time but they were not easy to find.  Finding them available from American Meadows made my day. The bulbs all emerged this spring and the flowers bring back special memories of years past

Wonderful snowdrop for garden beds. Leaves are large, glossy and very showy. Should find a place in everyone's garden

Tried and true product

These just bloomed here in Western Washington and they are just charming.  I had to drop a big fir for safety reasons and put them in the bed where the tree used to stand.  Not great soil, but they are lovely there.  I look forward to them perennializing

The first flower that lifts its head from the snow!

Used in a circle around a viburnum that leafs out later.  Will order more to create another circle just inside the existing one, for more impact in the early spring.  All bloomed, some inconsistent sizes.

Beautiful Early Bloomers

I wanted to add snow drops to the garden for early blooms and was not disappointed. After the never-ending winter of 2013/2014 here in the northeast, these little troopers emerged healthy and strong much to everyones delight. I planted them under viburnum

I scattered a variety of bulbs throughout the flowerbed under my picture window and these were the first to bloom. They are so cute, last quite a while, and bloomed while there was still snow on the ground. Thanks to the polar vortex they had to struggle

My friends from Europe do not realise that snowdrops can grow in NYC. I had to search a lot on the internet until I found American Meadows; the only retailer that sold snowdrops
