Description
With a little water, activate three varieties of compost, powdered clay and wildflower seeds picked for the Midwest Region. The Midwest DIY Seed Bomb Kit makes up to 75 nickel-sized balls. After letting seed bombs dry, plant in fall once temperatures have cooled, and surrounding native plants have gone dormant. Wildflower seeds will germinate upon the warm arrival of spring, in the following year. Bury seed bombs halfway into the soil in a sunny spot and water. These wildflower seeds include species native to the Midwest, such as: Ox-Eye Sunflower (Heliopsis helianthoides), Standing Cypress (Ipomopsis rubra), Prairie Blazing Star (Liatris pycnostachya), Wild Perennial Lupine (Lupinus perennis) and Lemon Mint (Monarda citriodora.) Two one-inch Wildflower Seed Bombs can plant one square foot, or use more for a dense meadow-like planting.
