Description

Perennial – blooms appear in the second season and will reappear for many years to come. 48" tall. Tall Green Milkweed is similar in appearance to Whorled Milkweed, but is shorter and has more narrow foliage. This Milkweed re-seeds readily, making it quick to spread and extremely easy to naturalize an area. Like all Milkweed, this variety requires a cold period in order to germinate and is best planted in the fall or forced into cold stratification for spring seeding. As Milkweed is the sole host plant for the Monarch butterfly, you’ll enjoy plenty of butterflies coming to and from your garden along with a variety of bees and other beneficial bugs.
