How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
If you want the look of a lush, manicured lawn and a space that can handle walking and playing, Microclover® is a must for a self-sustaining lawn that will stay lush and green without the use of fertilizer. Not only does this make your lawn easier than ever to maintain, it helps keep our soil and waterways clean and healthy. Microclover® can be planted in partial shade, but performs best in full sun. Highly durable Microclover® is a great option for high traffic areas like home lawns, athletic fields, parks, and even slopes. It is a good option for septic areas. While it can be planted on its own, it is often recommended to plant Microclover® and grass seed together; recommended grasses include our No Mow Lawn Grass Seed, Low Work and Water Dwarf Fescue Grass Seed, and Chewings Fescue.

"Not happy that the Microclover package does not have any planting info of value. The QR code just has generic information. I don't think I should have to go to your website to find this information. The wildflower package is an older design that I am familiar with and the information and instructions are great on it."
"Loved the first round I did, but when I went back to fill in spots this spring, I didn't get the same results. Either got a bad batch or fall was better for seeding than spring. Will keep trying to fill in those gaps."
"I felt your service was pretty good… I am sorry to say that the lilies of the valley laid in a hot mailbox I have one out of the 15 that did not fail. I also questioned that they were mailing this out so late in that Arizona gets very warm very fast. Thank you for your communication throughout the sale and best wishes on your continued success."
"I’ve purchased microclover seeds from American Meadows for the past three years with great success, which is why this experience is so disappointing. This year I bought three bags, and while one performed beautifully with strong, healthy germination, the other two had a nearly zero germination rate. I’m very familiar with growing microclover and have done it multiple times without issue, so this was not a user error situation. Based on the results, it’s clear that something was wrong with these two bags of seed. As this company seeds are quite expensive for this product, I will be ordering from a different company for microclover next year. You can clearly see in the attached photo where the older seeds left over from last year were used first, and they came up beautifully. The newer seed was sown directly beside it at the same time under the exact same conditions and failed to germinate. Any green patches in that section are almost entirely weeds that I’ve been hand-pulling, trying not to disturb any potential seedlings."
"Arrived quickly and packaged well. Have not planted yet."
"LOVE!"
"Wish i had bought more, these nitrogen fixers took great to my clay soil with aged manure mixed in"
"Ease of use."
"For my small space…. . 12x30…. this fits the bill!!! The clover is easy to maintain and the green is sooo peaceful to see. Our mini doxie loves it and she doesn't seem to ""kill"" it !!!"
"Previous plantings of this prove to be very hearty in dry weather. Lawn is being gradually over seeded with this!"
