The Radiant Dinner Plate Dahlia Collection showcases a rainbow of oversized blooms, with each one opening up to almost a full foot across! These enormous flowers will be the talk of the neighborhood, with their perfectly-pointed petals and saturated colors that delight every passerby. Plant in full sun for non-stop blooms until frost appears.
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low
temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will
survive the winter temperatures in your area.
If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack
of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
The Radiant Dinner Plate Dahlia Collection includes a total of 15 dahlias, with 3 easy-to-plant tubers each of 5 stunning dinner plate varieties. Dinner plate dahlias grow to a height of 4 feet, and will spread between 1 and 2 feet wide. With plants producing loads of blooms that range from 6" to 10" wide, you'll want to slip a stake into the ground at planting time, to give your dahlias some extra support as they grow and flower (staking after they've developed their extensive foliage can be tricky).
