To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low
temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will
survive the winter temperatures in your area.
If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack
of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).

We invented this garden of flower seeds, which is simply a special mix made to scatter over tulips and daffodil bulbs, either after you plant them in the fall, or as they come up in spring. 1. FALL OR SPRING: Plant the seeds. Once your bulbs are planted in fall (or when they're coming up in spring), simply scatter the seed mix over your bulb bed.
2. SPRING: Bulbs bloom while seeds sprout. While you enjoy your bulb flowers, your "Tulip Topper" seeds will sprout and create a lush green carpet at ground level.
3. LATE SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL: Bulb flowers fade. Seed begins bloom. By the time your bulb flowers fade, the seedlings have grown up enough to cover the dying-back bulb foliage. (No cleanup!) And very soon after the last bulb flower is gone, the seedlings begin bloom, and don't stop until fall frost!
