Sedge
Add rich, textured foliage with shade and moisture-loving native Sedges
Sedges are ornamental grasses that make their home in shade and part-shade areas, often growing in spots that are too wet for other plants to succeed. They make an excellent accompaniment to shade-loving flowers, offering a back drop of solid color and texture that puts the spotlight on colorful or unusual blooms. Some sedges will spread and multiply like a ground cover, and most are adept at wicking away excess moisture, making the area more hospitable to neighboring plants.
