Disappointing

"AM rarely disappoints me, but I had high hopes for this mix and it did not deliver. I mostly got marigolds and sweet alyssum (which I don't consider wildflowers), and the only fragrance to be found was if I stick my nose directly in the plant. I was hoping to open my back door to beautiful scents, but that did not happen. I now notice that all the rave reviews are from 7- or 11-years ago, so maybe they changed the formula for this mix?only one or two more recent reviews and those are not 5 star reviews. The sad thing is that I was trying to persuade a friend to give wildflowers a try and I gave her a sample of these. Not a selling point! I should have given her one of the other mixes that I know perform well, as I have half a dozen of those."

Disappointed

"AM almost never disappoints me. I was so excited to see they are offering a fragrant mix. I bought a small 1/4 pound bag and planted it near the front and back doors, and just outside my catio, hoping to be greeted with wonderful scents whenever stepping outside a door. The results are disappointing. Mostly sweet alyssum and marigolds, plus a few others, but not much fragrance and not much variety. I have seeds left and will try again. I will update this review if my second attempt is more successful."

"These are the best wildflower seeds I have ever used! I didnt get to plant them until the first of June and they all came up and are absolutely beautiful! All the plants I have ordered from American Meadows has worked out beautifully! I will purchase more."

This mix worked well for me.

"I have a large backyard and wanted a "Bee & Butterfly" garden. These seeds worked just as described and almost all of the varieties bloomed. I live in Zone 6 and recommend these. Note: Many of the plants do get very tall, over 5'. We've had a wet summer so this may have contributed to growth."
