Description

(12-18” tall) Intrigue Jonquilla Daffodils (Narcissus ‘Intrigue’) are just that – softly and magically intriguing with a sweet, subtle fragrance and cups that slowly fade to an intense white from palest yellow. A jonquil-type Daffodil, the trumpets are frilled and each strong stem boasts up to three 1-2” flowers surrounded by narrow, reed-like foliage in the late-spring garden. Daffodils are remarkably pest-resistant and the best bulb to plant if you are dealing with deer issues in your garden. Though they love full sun and baking temperatures, they can handle a slightly shaded position in the garden, and do best in well-drained, fertile soil, where they can naturalize freely. Plant 6” deep in late fall for late spring blooming and allow the foliage to ripen fully before cutting back to ensure gorgeous blooms next year too.
