Description
24-36" tall x 24-36" wide. Flame Thrower Echinacea (Coneflower), a member of the Prairie Pillar™Series, stands tall, holding masses of blooms atop sturdy three-foot stems. A vigorous grower and abundant bloomer, place Flame Thrower Echinacea toward the middle or back of mixed beds and borders for vibrant, season-long color. Large, single blooms attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators to the garden. Echinacea are robust plants equally well-adapted to hot, dry southern gardens as cold northerly realms. Give them plenty of sunshine and allow soils to dry between watering. A water-wise selection perfect for dressing up fence lines or massing in wildlife plantings. Goldfinches feast on seeds from the gorgeous cones in autumn, while deer leave echinacea alone. Deep tap roots make plants drought tolerant once established.
