Description

18-20" tall x 18-24" wide, Helenium Mariachi ‘Salsa’ PPAF is an underutilized perennial for late summer and fall gardens. Its bright, bold red and orange petals take center stage when the rest of the garden is winding down. Grows best in full sun in moist soils. Hardy in zones 3-9. Water regularly at the time of planting and during any significant period of drought. It will tolerate wet feet, so long as it isn’t sitting in standing water for extended periods of time. After the first flush of flowers fade, cut plant back by half to encourage a repeat bloom. Great for use as a cut flower.
