Overview
Be the first to enjoy early spring flowers with ‘Woodlander Rose’ Phlox. This remarkable hybrid has it all, with abundant, fragrant, pale pink flowers that are larger and longer-lasting than other Phlox. It also tolerates light shade. Early blooms supply much-needed nectar for bees when other flowers are scarce. Its finely textured foliage creates a lovely evergreen groundcover when flowering is done. (Phlox)

Description
‘Woodlander Rose’ Phlox will flower in early spring with big pink fragrant flowers announcing that spring has arrived. It is a versatile groundcover for full sun or part shade locations, where it will gradually spread. At 4-6” tall it’s a lovely way to edge a path or garden bed. Consider planting beneath spring-blooming bulbs such as Tulips and Daffodils, or creating a garden tapestry by planting an assortment of groundcovers with different colors and textures. Its evergreen foliage is mounded in full sun, and trailing in part shade. Plant in compost-enriched soil with good drainage. Prefers average soil moisture, though it is somewhat drought tolerant once established. Woodlander Rose is a hybrid of Phlox subulata and Phlox stolonifera. PPAF
