Plant Information

24-36" tall x 18" wide. ‘All About Spring’ is a springtime delight! Softly tinted in lavender shades edged with yellow, its ruffled petals will find a welcome spot in your garden. Mid-to-late spring blooming, plant it with Columbine, Daffodils, and Tulips for a knock-out show. Plant in average, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Cut the sturdy stalks back once flowering has finished and continue to enjoy the texture and architectural element of the foliage. In late fall, cut the foliage back to 6" fans. Fertilize in fall and spring. These Bearded Iris are low maintenance, water thrifty, and deer resistant favorites.

USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

  • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
  • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
