Description
35-39" tall x 18-24" wide, globe thistle grows all across North America, and is loved by dried flower arrangers. The basic form is a tall plant, but hybrids like Veitch's Blue grow only to about 3 feet. The color is a beautiful foil in a perennial garden, and the unique flower shape is great, too.
This plant demands almost desert-like conditions, thriving in almost any soil that is in full sun and drains quickly. Once established, its a very tough plant, and can survive with almost no attention.
