SuperNova Cream Primrose
Description
English Primroses, or Primula, are a standard of the spring garden. New growth emerges in spring, sending flower stalks up very quickly, each one bearing several wide, happy blooms that are perfectly framed by the foliage. They’re easy to grow in shade to part-shade beds with good soil moisture and good drainage. They can tolerate more sun with protection from harsh afternoon rays. Once established, they will spread readily, and eventually require dividing in the fall, when temperatures are cooling off and they have time to establish a good root system. Deadhead faded blooms to encourage new flowers. Deer-resistant and fragrant, they are a nice addition to the edge of a flower bed with small, exquisite bulbs such as Chionodoxa (Glory of The Snow), Miniature Daffodils, or Scilla.
