24-36" tall x 12-24" wide. Plant Tomato Soup Echinacea (Coneflower) in drifts throughout cottage gardens and mixed borders for a tapestry of color. The tomato-red blooms fade to coral and pink hues with age, providing contrast within the planting. A color break-through in Echinacea breeding, Tomato Soup requires full sun to show best red color. This hardy perennial blooms early to late summer. Coneflowers are widely adaptable to a variety of growing sites from shallow rocky soils to dry clay, provided drainage is adequate. Allow soils to dry slightly between watering. Plants tolerate heat and humidity and are drought-tolerant once established. Deadhead Tomato Soup in the first year to help plants establish and thrive. Allow seed heads to stand in years to come for added beauty throughout the winter months.
